This season hasn't been kind to the Centennial Apaches, who are still winless after their sixth game. They fell 57-45 to Lakeside on Wednesday.
It was another big night for Maurice Turner, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds for Lakeside. The game was Turner's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Knudson, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Lakeside, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Centennial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leuzinger at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Lakeside's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chino Hills at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Chino Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.
