Softball Recap: Standish-Sterling Extends Winning Streak to Four

Standish-Sterling had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals 13-3. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Standish-Sterling's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 29-10.
