The biggest upset of the week belonged to Exeter Township, who defeated 31st ranked Conrad Weiser, 17-16. Manny Soto ran for 159 yards in the win.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Berks Inter-County 1 this week, Muhlenberg beat Twin Valley 27-0,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Aidan Brosious was a passing and rushing force as the Scouts lost to the Eagles. He completed 8 passes for 118 yards and also ran for 69 yards. Brosious' favorite target this week was Dexter Jordan, who caught 3 passes for 71 yards.
Soto was the best running back in the league this week. Chase Yocum also contributed to the rushing game with 88 yards on the ground.
Jordan was the best wideout in the league this week as Conrad Weiser fell to Exeter Township. Alex Guilbe helped Conrad Weiser's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.
Tyler Moser put up the best numbers through the air as Pottsville bested Reading. He finished with 10 completions for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. Moser's favorite target this week was John Toomey, who caught 2 passes for 34 yards.
The Crimson Tide's Moser and Travis Blankenhorn have formed a dream team this season, leading Berks Inter-County 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Moser has thrown for 541 yards this season, while Blankenhorn, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 8 catches for 257 yards. Al Moyer's team's Guilbe leads the league in rushing yards with 519.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Muhlenberg takes on Pottsville. Rich Kolka's team is currently in first, while Tom McGeoy's team is in third.
Matt Bauer's team scaled the state rankings by moving to 46 from 85 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles were able to move up by besting the Scouts 17-16.
