The Susquehannock Warriors will head out to square off against the New Oxford Colonials at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Susquehannock fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bermudian Springs on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Andrew Unglesbee put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has become a key player for Susquehannock: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. Unglesbee was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Rafi Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Grayson Copenhaver was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, New Oxford posted their closest victory since April 2nd on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Eastern York 4-3. The Colonials haven't had any issues with the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
New Oxford's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Haifley, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Haifley is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Ayden Tracey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
New Oxford's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Susquehannock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Susquehannock has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like New Oxford struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Susquehannock couldn't quite get it done against New Oxford when the teams last played on April 9th as they fell 8-3. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
