Eastside had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 12-6 to the Weequahic Indians on Friday.
A big part of Weequahic's victory came down to the chemistry between Haddiyah Bell and her top target Heaven Porter. Bell threw for 107 yards and one TD while Porter gained 140 total yards and a touchdown. Porter was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 60 yards. Samiyah Hutchins made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
The win got Weequahic back to even at 1-1.
