The Rancho Rams came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Doral Academy Red Rock 57-18 at home. With Rancho ahead 43-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Taylor Dagons, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Crystal Padilla, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho will take on the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cimarron-Memorial is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Gators at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Green Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 last Thursday.
