Carolina Christian AA recap November 13, 2013
Carolina Pride and Q Foundation Academy played the closest game in Carolina Christian AA this week, with Carolina Pride eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Grayson Willingham threw for 62 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 28 yards in the win.
The Pride made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,970 from 9,845. The improvement was the result of a 21-20 victory over the Fighting Falcons last week.
Carolina Pride's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Jamal Hyman contributed 53 yards.
Hyman was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 53 yards on 18 carries as Mike Martin's team bested Q Foundation Academy. Samon also contributed to the rushing game with 37 yards on the ground.
Carolina Pride's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Pride feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Willingham has thrown for 1,334 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Brandon Leake has 33 catches for 565 yards.
The Pride led the league in points allowed with 20.
