It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Golden Gate Titans can now relate to. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Golden Gate's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Sam Powell threw for 75 yards on seven of 17 attempts. Bradley Martino was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards. On the ground, Trayvon Jean rushed for 63 yards.
Dunbar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Twaski Abrams led the charge by picking up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Chris Singleton was another key contributor, rushing for 127 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Golden Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Dunbar, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Golden Gate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dunbar will head out on the road to face off against Naples at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Naples is on a four-game streak of home wins, Dunbar a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
