Bloomington South came out on top against Shakamak on Saturday thanks in part to Akasha Burton's efforts. Burton scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The performance marked the most runs she has had since back in April of 2024.

Burton and Bloomington South will challenge Southport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
