Baseball Recap: Central Bucks East Takes a Loss

Central Bucks East fell victim to Pennridge and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-0. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Jason Abert was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March.

Central Bucks East has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Pennridge, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Central Bucks East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
