Even though they lost, Greenbrier East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Colten Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Grady Allen was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Robey Brown also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greenbrier East has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Summers County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
