While Midway didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Butler Bears 15-5 on Monday. Considering the Vikings have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Midway's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Butler, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midway will challenge Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Butler, they will venture away from home to square off against Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
