The Westside Rams will take on the Easley Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westside has four straight wins, Easley has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Westside let Fountain Inn stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Monday but luckily Westside prevailed anyway. The Rams walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Fury. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly five runs.

Ryann Sanders was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Kirkus, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 14 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Easley might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Hillcrest who claimed the real prize. The Green Wave fell 4-1 to the Rams.
Jalyn McGee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Easley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beooke Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Wilson's first of the season.
Westside's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Easley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Westside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .439. However, it's not like Easley struggles in that department as they've averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Westside came out on top in a nail-biter against Easley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
