Kouts came tearing into  Saturday's  contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Morgan Township Cherokees by a score of  3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs & Fillies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Kouts was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (97-91), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 27-25, 12-25,  25-22.
 Jake Boomer paced Kouts' offense, picking up 11 kills. Boomer got some help from  Gavin DeYoung and his 22 assists.  Cash Terpstra controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
 Despite the  loss, Morgan Township saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Marshall Craigin  had 15  digs and two  assists. Craigin is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as he's  now  had 15 or more in each of the last three games he's  played.
Kouts pushed their record up to 10-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Morgan Township, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kouts will welcome Hebron  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Morgan Township, they will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against South Central  at 5:00  p.m.
