Carpinteria extended their losing streak to nine on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-13. They lost 18-1 to the Fillmore Flashes. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carpinteria saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Iyanna Carrillo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Carrillo has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
As for Fillmore, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 11 runs or more this season.
On Fillmore's side, Angelica Ruiz made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Ruiz was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March.
In other batting news, Fillmore got a massive performance out of Arianna Halcon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Halcon has posted since back in March. Yesenia Hinojosa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Carpinteria has already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Hueneme on the 1st. As for Fillmore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-6 win against Vasquez on the 4th.
