The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Catholic in their matchups with Mount de Sales Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Mount de Sales Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shelby Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Katie Carroll was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mount de Sales Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
