The Stockdale Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Garces Memorial Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stockdale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
On Monday, Stockdale came up short against the Falcons and fell 57-48.
Meanwhile, Garces Memorial pushed their score all the way to 57 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Centennial, falling 97-57. While losing is never fun, Garces Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 114th).
Stockdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Garces Memorial, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
Stockdale beat the Rams 64-52 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stockdale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
