The Greenwich Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilton. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Greenwich of the 62-52 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Henry Roy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wilton, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Roy hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Max Jarvie was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and six assists.
Greenwich bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Wilton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Greenwich will be playing in front of their home fans against Bridgeport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport Central is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Wilton, they will head out on the road to square off against Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
