The North Duplin Rebels's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They really took it to Bear Grass Charter for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-35 victory at home. For North Duplin, this counts as revenge for the 59-54 defeat Bear Grass Charter walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
North Duplin found their leader in underclassman Treshawn Ruffin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Lesesane, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
The win got North Duplin back to even at 2-2. As for Bear Grass Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Duplin will square off against James Kenan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bear Grass Charter is on the road again on December 18th and play against North East Carolina Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th.
