Haylie Western was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Sienna Neilson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Moapa Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Virgin Valley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moapa Valley will face off against Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chaparral comes in on a streak of failing to score more than nine points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Virgin Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinecrest Academy Cadence has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
