Softball Recap: East Duplin Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

While East Duplin put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Southwest Onslow. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Stallions. Considering the Panthers have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kinsey Cave was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Karsyn Parker was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

East Duplin has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Southwest Onslow, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Duplin will square off against East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Southwest Onslow, they will face off against Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stallions are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
