Pahrump Valley stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 51-28 margin over The Meadows School. Given Pahrump Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while The Meadows School is ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pahrump Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Moore led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailani Martinez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They received a tough blow as they fell 48-33 to Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas.
Pahrump Valley pushed their record up to 24-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Everything came up roses for Pahrump Valley against Sports Leadership & Management when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 52-19 victory. With Pahrump Valley ahead 41-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
