Moody's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Center Point, posting a 53-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Moody's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Lowery, who threw for 265 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Lowery has become a key player for the Blue Devils: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Kevin James was in the mix too, providing Moody with two touchdowns.
Moody was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Moody's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cam Mallory, Willie Kimble, and Kaiden Mitchell, who each picked up one sack apiece. Mallory was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Leeds scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They and St. Clair County were almost perfectly matched up, but the Greenwave suffered a 50-49 defeat.
Moody will have to contain Sam Lollar as he made an impact in Leeds' last game. He threw for 228 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 35 yards.
Moody pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points over those games. As for Leeds, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Moody and Leeds have no problem gaining yardage. The Blue Devils have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 373.7 total yards per game. However, it's not like Leeds struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 368.6 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Everything came up roses for Moody against Leeds in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greenwave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
