The Brookland-Cayce Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Crestwood Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookland-Cayce will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Crestwood is ranked 12th).
After soaring to a 55-point win in their last game, Brookland-Cayce came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Orangeburg-Wilkinson by a score of 42-40. Brookland-Cayce has struggled against Orangeburg-Wilkinson recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Crestwood had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They took down Camden 77-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Brookland-Cayce's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Crestwood, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with that victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
