The Girard Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the Seneca Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Girard is looking to tack on another W to their 11-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Girard can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Northwestern, posting a 78-21 victory at home. That 57 points margin sets a new team best for Girard this season.
Seneca has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took down Erie First Christian Academy 65-48 on Tuesday. 65 seems to be a good number for Seneca as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Girard's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Seneca, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season.
Girard came up short against Seneca when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 42-38. Can Girard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
