The Bartow Yellow Jackets extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Lakeland Dreadnaughts. Everything went their way against the Dreadnaughts as they made off with a 72-47 win. Bartow has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Bartow's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Thompson, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Williams, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bartow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Lakeland, they dropped their record down to 17-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Bartow's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Bartow is ranked 67th, while Lakeland is ranked 88th). As for Lakeland, they will face off against Bartow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bartow will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Lakeland surely won't give up without a fight.
