Baseball Recap: Pine Forest Sets Scoring Season-High Against E.E. Smith

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Forest). They put the hurt on the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls with a sharp 20-4 victory on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Ja'Lynn Thomas and Landen Thompson did most of the damage at the plate: Thomas scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Thompson got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, eight RBI, and two runs. Thompson is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Temple, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
