Even though the Mobile Christian Leopards have not done well against the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mobile Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Cottage Hill Christian Academy and snuck past 40-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mobile Christian.
Mobile Christian found their leader in underclassman Hadley Kelly, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds and five blocks. Kelly has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Booker, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Mobile Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Flomaton the next time they take the court. Mobile Christian will head out to face Flomaton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Cottage Hill Christian Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
