The East Vikings will face off against the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Plymouth Whitemarsh will be up against a hot East squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Vikings' way against Sun Valley on Monday as they made off with a 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Ferri Ava made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Ava was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caelyn Rodriguez, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Cross Daria was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Plymouth Whitemarsh ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against Quakertown by a score of 10-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Like East, Plymouth Whitemarsh also got a great game from a two-way player: Rian Reed. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Reed was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run.
In other batting news, Gia Bono was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Zoey Robinson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Plymouth Whitemarsh pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for East, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Plymouth Whitemarsh struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
East skirted past Plymouth Whitemarsh 4-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonials turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
