The Jal Panthers won the last time they faced the Dexter Demons, and things went their way on Thursday too. Jal secured a 54-49 W over Dexter. That's two games straight that Jal has won by exactly five points.
Jal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from A3 Rodriguez, who scored 23 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Gabriel Juarez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Jal and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Dexter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Jal will look to defend their home court on Monday against Wink at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Wink's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Dexter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hagerman at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Hagerman is ranked 108th, while Dexter is ranked 106th).
