Basketball Recap: Emma Hibler Key Part of a Team Effort in Colts Win

Cloverleaf's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Coventry Comets 53-30. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Cloverleaf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Hibler, who posted five points in addition to five boards and four steals. Jayce Kreider also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Cloverleaf was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coventry only racked up seven assists.

Coventry's loss came despite strong showings from Aunna Coteat and Kayla Munn. Coteat dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Munn almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Coteat has posted since back in December of 2023.

Cloverleaf's record now sits at 15-6. As for Coventry, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cloverleaf will venture away from home to challenge Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Cloverleaf surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coventry, they will host Garfield Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
