Basketball Recap: Fort Collins' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fort Collins came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Greeley West Spartans 70-44 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Lambkins have posted since December 12, 2024.

Fort Collins' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Henry Peterson, who went 7 for 11 en route to 19 points and six boards. Peterson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Boros, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Fort Collins' victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Greeley West, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Collins and Vista PEAK Prep will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Fort Collins is facing Vista PEAK Prep at the right time seeing as Vista PEAK Prep is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Greeley West, they and Wheat Ridge will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
