Del Valle has gone a perfect 6-0 against Horizon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Conquistadores will be playing at home against the Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. Del Valle's defense has only allowed 13.7 points per game this season, so Horizon's offense will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Del Valle blew past Hanks, posting a 49-14 victory. Considering the Conquistadores have won four matchups by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Jake Fette, who rushed for 114 yards and three TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Ivan Lopez was another key player, picking up 50 receiving yards and two scores.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Del Valle proved: they limited Hanks to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Mateo Santibanez for the heroic effort on defense: he. Del Valle didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.
Del Valle didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Abraham Garcia, Nayden Avila, Isiah Herrera, and Angel Montelongo picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Hanks' side was Santibanez, who made 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Horizon is still winless after their game against Burges on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mustangs. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Scorpions couldn't quite close it out.
Del Valle will need to focus on slowing down Jose Castillo, one of several Horizon players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 126 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 38 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Mauricio Payan, who threw for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Del Valle, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Del Valle has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 443.6 total yards per game. It's a different story for Horizon, though, as they've been averaging only 235.7 total yards. Will Del Valle be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Scorpions flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Del Valle against Horizon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-13 victory. Do the Conquistadores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
