Volleyball Recap: Enloe Wins Going Away Against Hillside

The Enloe Eagles got the win against the Hillside Hornets on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Enloe took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-13.

Charlie Holovach had an outrageously good game as he had 17 aces. Those 17 aces gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ruari McKenna, who had seven kills and three aces.

The win got Enloe back to even at 1-1. As for Hillside, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Enloe will face off against rival Millbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Enloe's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, Hillside is set to square off against their familiar foe Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
