The Keswick Christian Crusaders waltzed into their match Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They came out on top against Palm Harbor University by a score of 50-38. Given Keswick Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Palm Harbor University is ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ava Graham was her usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Keswick Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Celosse, who scored eight points.
Keswick Christian's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.2 points. As for Palm Harbor University, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keswick Christian will take on Academy of the Holy Names at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palm Harbor University, they will be playing at home against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Northeast is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
