The NSU University Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 81-41 win over Ransom Everglades. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-23.
It was another big night for Anthony Ferrer, who scored 31 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of NSU University's points. Darwin Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Despite the defeat, Ransom Everglades saw an underclassman step up: Zeke Battier dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Battier's 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julian Silvetz, who scored nine points.
NSU University pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.93 points. As for Ransom Everglades, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
NSU University will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop McCarthy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ransom Everglades, they will be playing at home against Doctors Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
