The Passaic County Tech Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 47-37 to Northern Highlands. While losing is never fun, Passaic County Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Northern Highlands is ranked 77th).
Lucas Dipasupil continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northern Highlands, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Dipasupil grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Zack Blacher, who scored 11 points.
Passaic County Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northern Highlands, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Passaic County Tech will take on Wayne Hills at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northern Highlands will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Ridgefield Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
