It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 win over Louisburg. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Basehor-Linwood.
Basehor-Linwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Vandonge, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 122 yards and a touchdown. Sam Boetcher was another key contributor, rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Basehor-Linwood's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Louisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1.
Basehor-Linwood will face off against Saint Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Louisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
