The Altoona-Midway Jets will face off against the Oswego Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Altoona-Midway is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Marmaton Valley on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Altoona-Midway was beaten by Marmaton Valley 71-38. The contest marked the Jets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by William Stackhouse, who went 5 for 12 en route to 17 points and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 28 games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Oswego entered their tilt with Chetopa on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They really took it to the Hornets for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-35 victory. The Indians pushed the score to 58-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets cut but never quite recovered from.
Altoona-Midway better keep an eye on Owen Jackson. He was instrumental in Oswego's win, going 12 of 23 on his way to 25 points and four steals. Jackson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Hutchinson, who posted seven points in addition to 12 rebounds and six steals.
Oswego smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Oswego is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Altoona-Midway, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Altoona-Midway has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Oswego struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
