Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fredonia). They never let the Jamestown Red & Green get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Hillbillies as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Danielle Palisin made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jenna Fryberger was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Naomi Muck, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Fredonia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .410 or higher in five consecutive contests.
