Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Velma Jackson proved on Tuesday. They snuck past Wingfield with a 54-49 win.
It was another big night for J'Ashton Williams, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jamarquez Davis, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
St. Andrew's Episcopal bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Velma Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
