After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Quincy, Portola was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Williams Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Jaleyah Sigala was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ainsleigh Pruitt was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Portola's victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Williams, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Portola beat the Yellowjackets by a score of 21-7 later that day.
