The Fike Demons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Southern Wayne 59-8 at home. The win was nothing new for Fike as they're now sitting on four straight.
Fike got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jewel Brewington out in front who scored 21 points. Brewington has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emory Skinner, who scored 16 points.
Fike's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Southern Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Fike will be playing in front of their home fans against Hunt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Averaging 48.4 so far this season, Hunt's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Fike better be ready for a challenge. As for Southern Wayne, they will head out on the road to square off against C.B. Aycock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully C.B. Aycock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
