Football Recap: Central Starts off Right with Win over Eagle Point

Central had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the Eagle Point Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JT Girod out in front who threw for 235 yards and three TDs. Joe Mendazona was Girod's top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Looking ahead, Central will host Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eagle Point, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Yreka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
