South Lamar lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pickens Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Stallions were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Pirates on Friday. The Stallions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

South Lamar has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Pickens Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Coming up, South Lamar will head out on the road to take on Hubbertville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pickens Academy, they will challenge Sulligent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
