Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knoxville Catholic). Everything went their way against the Baylor Red Raiders on Tuesday as the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish made off with a 69-43 victory. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Knoxville Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maggie Frana, who went 7 for 8 on her way to 16 points. That's the most points Frana has posted since back in November of 2024. Tinsley Walker was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 15 points.

Knoxville Catholic's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Baylor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Knoxville Catholic will face off against Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cocke County will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Knoxville Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Baylor, they will square off against Girls Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
