Seneca is 8-2 against the Braves since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Seneca Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Iroquois Braves at 7:30 p.m. Seneca is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Seneca, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-49 loss to the Lakers.
Even though Iroquois has not done well against the Tigers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Iroquois came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers and snuck past 43-41.
Iroquois' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Brink led the charge by scoring seven points. Another player making a difference was Orlando Brown, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Iroquois, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Seneca came up short against the Braves in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Iroquois' Kellen Burroughs, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Now that Seneca knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
