After two games on the road, Campbellsville is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Edmonson County Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Campbellsville in a 56-42 victory over Marion County.
Campbellsville had a senior duo take command as Landon Colvin dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds and Deondre Weathers scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The match was Weathers' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keondre Weathers, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Edmonson County came up short against Bethlehem on Friday and fell 68-56. Edmonson County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Campbellsville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Edmonson County, they bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Campbellsville came up short against Edmonson County in their previous meeting back in February, falling 60-47. Can Campbellsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
