Baseball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Bloomfield's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Bloomfield won against Honeoye on Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the Bombers' way against the Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers as they made off with a 10-2 win. The Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Braedon Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Rogers, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Kevin Dredger was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Bloomfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
