After flying high against the Victory Baptist Academy Patriots on Thursday, the Pleasant View Christian Warriors came back down to earth. Pleasant View Christian was outmatched by Christian Community on the road and fell 54-22. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pleasant View Christian in their matchups with Christian Community: they've now lost six in a row.
Pleasant View Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hollynn Carney, who scored nine points, and Gwen Carr who scored ten points. Carr scored a full 45.5% of Pleasant View Christian's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Christian Community found their leader in underclassman A.C. Caverly, who scored 16 points. The contest was Caverly's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Myers, who scored eight points.
Pleasant View Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Christian Community, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Pleasant View Christian and Clarksville Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Clarksville Christian will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Christian Community will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenbrier on December 28th.
